The D’ River State Wayside, centrally located on Highway 101, and Roads End State Recreation Area, at the north end of Lincoln City, are also great places to take your dog for walks on the beach. Dogs may roam off leash as long as they are under voice control.

Frequently Asked Questions
What pet-friendly hotels are in Lincoln City, Oregon?
There’s a variety, but the Looking Glass Inn is one of Lincoln City’s most welcoming pet-friendly hotels. We accept dogs of any size, provide a welcome basket at check-in, and have a dedicated dog play area on the property.
Are there dog-friendly beaches near Looking Glass Inn?
All Oregon beaches allow dogs. Siletz Bay beach is steps from the inn. It’s a calm bay beach — flat shoreline, easy walking, and good for dogs who prefer calmer water to ocean surf. The main ocean beach is also accessible by a short walk or drive north. Dogs are welcome on Oregon’s public beaches off leash as long as they are under voice command.
Is there a size limit for dogs at Looking Glass Inn?
No. We welcome dogs of all sizes. Up to two dogs per room, with a $25 per dog per night fee. We are one of the few hotels in town that don’t have a weight limit.
Are there any breed restrictions?
We don’t have breed restrictions. We ask that all dogs be well-behaved around other guests and comfortable in a hotel environment.
Can I leave my dog alone in the room?
Dogs may be left in a crate while you are gone as long as they don’t bark and disturb other guests. Contact our front desk if you need to borrow a dog crate.
What should I know before arriving with my dog?
Let us know when you book that you’re bringing a dog and let us know how many so we can have your room ready. Dogs should be on a leash in common areas. We ask that they not be left uncrated in the rooms and that you use the sheets provided to cover the furniture and beds if the dogs will be up on those. Beyond that, we want you and your dog to have a good stay — just give us a heads-up on anything specific and we’ll do our best to help.
Does the Looking Glass Inn provide dog supplies?
Yes — every dog guest receives a complimentary welcome basket with sheets, towels, food and water bowls, pooper scooper bags, and treats. Extra sheets and towels are always available. When out and about on the property stop by the office for a drink and a dog treat. Dog crates and dog beds are also available to borrow at no charge during your stay.
Do you allow cats or other types of pets?
We only allow dogs. There are a few properties in town that accept cats and other animals. Please give us a call at 541-996-3996 and we can give you some hotel options in the area.
